An invitation-only AI gathering puts Brussels back on the radar

One day. One stage. A few hundred of the people building the future of AI, in a city that doesn't always get the spotlight.

A speaker on stage at Off the Radar, in front of a green-lit Off the Radar wordmark and 8-spoke asterisk, with a full auditorium watching.

AI is resetting what's possible to build. In that new world, Belgian entrepreneurs have a place to take, and we intend to help them take it.

Off the Radar brings builders, CTOs and engineers to Le Mix for a single day of talks and one long dinner. It's free but invitation-only, because we want the networking and the conversations to be high-quality.

There's a reason behind the guest list. Belgium has a remarkable tech ecosystem that sometimes underestimates itself, and the point of the day is to connect it with the labs defining the future of AI. We want those companies to see that things are happening here, and that Belgium is worth investing in. Throughout the day we'll introduce as many local founders as we can to the visiting labs, to spark relationships that outlast the event. At Hexa we've seen firsthand how much those connections matter, and Off the Radar wants to replicate part of that.

The format is deliberately narrow in focus: one stage, one track, and a full program of talks rather than a sprawl of parallel sessions. No keynote bought by a sponsor, no badge-scanning, no booths. People come to listen, argue a little, and stay for the walking dinner on one of the most beautiful terraces in Brussels, as the sun goes down.

The lineup spans the labs and companies shaping the field, among them OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, AWS, Stripe, Vercel, Cloudflare, ElevenLabs and Fundamental, alongside a strong bench of Belgian founders and CTOs (Aikido, TechWolf, Collibra, Vertical Compute, penbox) and a few familiar voices moderating (Syndicate One, 20VC, Hypertext). Laurent Hublet, Brussels' Minister of the Economy, opens the day. More names land every week, and a couple we're not allowed to print yet.

“Belgium has been off the radar for a while, with no real reason for it. If we can send a few founders home with a new relationship to a lab they work with, or inspire others to create their startups, our mission will be accomplished.”

Tanguy Goretti, CTO of Hexa & organiser

The day is made possible by a handful of quiet backers who share the cost rather than buy stage time: penbox, HPE Growth, Fortino Capital, We Love Founders, YourMax, Dups, 24 Industries, Merchery and Hexa. Local hubs and programs, including hub.brussels, BeCentral, WAT.bxl, Wintercircus, Scaleup Flanders and the Startup Awards, are helping spread the word.

Off the Radar is organised by a group of friends. Admission is by invitation; press enquiries and seat requests can be directed to the contact below.

// ABOUT OFF THE RADAR

Off the Radar is a private, invitation-only gathering of the people building the future of AI, held in Brussels. What started as a conversation between Tanguy Goretti (CTO of Hexa), Amaury De Buyser (HPE Growth) and Christophe Castan (CEO of Penbox) quickly grew into a group of friends putting the whole thing together: Lucas Goretti, Zach Diebold, Raphael Zacchello, Horace Riley, Larry Gerard, Raph Han, Diego d'Ursel and Hugues Moreau.
